Sheppard had used the       deduction dozens of times.              I bet 1000 pots were claimed for ever 5 pots actually made and sold.              But government shot itself in the foot on this one. Any business or       individual has to show receipts and can be audited on such. No reason       for rules to be different for different people and professions other       than corruption, inefficiency and pandering.              Just more big fat government inefficiency and waste. Bet it cost       taxpayers more than the pots were worth. Sort of like spending a $100       in wages to watch $2K in pencil theft.              Good part, got my realized income so low I will pay less than 10% of the       taxes owe-able in 2011 compared to 2010. And hope to do it better in 2012.              Screw working for the government without the benefits. I saved enough       and invested enough this debt-tax slave is done with the big tax rape.              Quite legal too, as in early retirement and cash in the bank you decide       how much to pull out of the RRSP as income. And just pull out enough       that with dividends and gains you are slightly taxable at a very low       rate. With no mortgage for 20 years now, cash in the bank, no debt, my       cash flow needs can be kept low for a low taxable income.              A lot of people doing this too. Boss says no raise or pull back,       government taxes up, you say retirement and screw working, screw Ottawa       and enjoy doing nothing like 2M+ on welfare, First Nations, immigration       assistance and other. Why work if you don't need to? Mind you I saved       for it, but that is the beauty... I can't be kicked off my own       retirement plan as I didn't trust pooled scams.              Amazing when you don't work how little money you really need. Vehicle       wear and tear is big time down, costs of lunches, transportation, cloths       even food is less. You can even get better last minute rates on big       vacations, I flew this year for 1/2 price as I could wait until the       price drop. Even found a place I might buy in Costa Rica. Didn't buy       it as I also want to check Panama out.              Yep, just time to say screw Ottawa any legal way you can. Only way to       fix Ottawa waste is to let the fools go bankrupt with their greed and debt.                     --       Liberal-socialism is a great idea so long as the credit is good and       other people pay for it. When the credit runs out and those that pay       for it leave, they can all share having nothing.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
