From: Tony@TheDeli.Sandwich              All resources will go down as the worldwide recession really starts to bite.       America is lying like a rug about GDP, unemployment and company profits. At the       very latest that is just after the U.S. election this year stocks will fall at       least 80 percent from their present valuations. In Canada the housing market is       in the midst of a meltdown. Victoria has fallen about 22 percent from the peak       and Vancouver about half that. Alberta real estate has been falling since the       summer of 2007. The likely outcome is a 70 percent decline in both vancouver       and       Victoria the Okanagan valley and the surrounding areas. Saskatchewan and       Winnipeg real estate should lose about half their value and the GTA about 40       percent. The Canadian taxpayer will be on the hook for about one trillion       dollars in defaults as people declaring personal bankruptcy becomes the norm.              Canuck57 wrote:              > With the downturn a coming, this time there is no pass for Canada.       > While resources might temper it some, most of Canada is economic toast.       > Ontario down graded and plants closing, even makes the debt more       > unsustainable.
