   Get an offshore account is a good idea and legal to do.  You can go to   
   Panama and get government canal bonds for 5.65% and not waste your   
   depreciating Canadian money for 1% at a corrupt Canadian bank.   
      
   But the big reason you want offshore and avoide RRSP/LIRA/RESP and other   
   tax traps, is huge inflation and Cyprus like tax thefts are a coming.   
      
   Once setup, you can transfer money out for better returns.  Be sure to   
   declare them properly to Ottawa while you live in Canada as Ottawa loves   
   taxing foreign earnings.  In reality, it Ottawa wasn't so tax greedy,   
   you would only pay taxes in the country of origin.  But we know ottawa   
   is greedy.   
      
   But once you move to a low tax country, and I mean move...you no longer   
   need to declare foreign income to Ottawa. And you will pay a lot less   
   taxes.  70,000 Canadians and many retired in Costa Rica.  Less taxing   
   and year around fishing and golf.   
      
   Because Ottawa and provinces are about to get more greedy.   
      
   Did you know your earnings could be poverty level or lower and you have   
   EI/CPP/income taxes owing?  Pretty bad when a country goes form 4% of   
   the rich being taxed when income tax was introduced to now where poverty   
   level people even pay a hoard of income and spend taxes.   
      
   Never underestimate government greed, either stay and wait for a   
   revolution or leave, choice is yours if you have saved a few bucks.  No   
   liberty is as important as economic liberty.   
      
   Tag line was true for Detroit and others, coming to a Candian city,   
   province and Ottawa to you....just a mater of time.

   other people pay for it.  When the credit runs out and those that pay   
   for it leave, they can all share having nothing but debt and discontentment.
