|    Hon. James Moore on High Canadian Prices    |

From: Canuck57@nospam.com              Sent today to:              Hon. James Moore              I really hope this truth makes it through the layers of bureaucracy.              But high Canadian prices often have one common denominator, hidden taxes       and lobby bought protectionisms. Lets examine some.              Take beef protectionism tariffs, it allows uncompetitive Canadian       pricing of beef. 11kg rib-eye in Montana, $30kg in Calgary.              Take cheese protectionism tariffs, it allows uncompetitive Canadian       pricing of cheese. Kraft cheddar $6kg in Detroit, $15kg in Windsor.              In fact, CBSA collects $45 billion in taxes, tariffs, fees no American       ever pays!!!! Much of which is to drive protectionism. Some lobbyist       wants protectionism as they want poor people to buy $800 Canadian made       winter coat when being disabled, poor, or low income, you can't get the       equivalent in US for $130, but it was made in India or Bangladesh....but       more affordable.              I am going to do my best to expose why being Canadian is expensive       because of government tax greed. Besides taxes, lets examine Canadians       second largest expense housing:              Canadians have to life earn $1,400,000 to pay $700,000 in taxes,       $300,000 in fair interest, to buy a $400,000 home that is $200,000 in       labour taxes, fees, tariffs and other taxes to build the tax-debt out       $200,000 family home.              Mexican earns $200,000 to pay $40,000 in taxes, $40,000 in interest to       buy a $120,000 home. (Also pays a whole lost less in       city/utility/education taxes, lower costs of food too).              American earns $360,000 to pay $60,000 in taxes, $50,000 in interest to       buy a $250,000 home. (Also pays a whole lost less in       city/utility/education taxes lower food costs too and average       disposable income is much higher).              Reality is we lose jobs because to live in Canada requires uncompetitive       high wage levels, and jobs leave.              Yet our corrupt governments bailout corporation/unions/banks for       uncommon good, to tax us more so we are more uncompetitive. While       corrupt politics in Canada was bailout of GM, Magna and corrupt       CAW/auto, China built the Yangtze Dam for cheap renewal electricity to       make themselves more competitive.              While Ottawa might delude itself in its benefits to Canadians, I can       assure you it is a delusion, choice of ignorance of reality, when you       bailout your lobby sponsors with taxes to us.              For this reason I am a former Conservative, I am still small c       conservative, but Harper and others in this bloated government of waste       no longer have my vote or support.              The real cause of high prices is Ottawa tax and protectionism greeds.              --       Socialist-statism corruption is a great idea so long as the credit is       good and other people pay for it. When the credit runs out and those       that pay for it leave, they can all share having nothing but       unemployment, debt and discontentment.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
