From: AlanBaggett@volcanomail.com              $47 billion owed in taxes and hidden by very wealthy people :CRA SOTW              “I am writing this letter in regards to the $47 billion owed in taxes and       hidden by very wealthy people.”              Senator Percy Downe is one government leader who has taken this problem on but       no other government officials, at any level, including Revenue Canada are       listening or prepared to do anything about it.              Revenue Canada gets paid by the Canadian peoples’ tax dollar and yet, Sen.       Downe cannot access the information he needs to expose the unfairness of this       problem. The Government of Canada and Revenue Canada protect the very people       who are dodging taxes.        Government always finds ways to secure what they need (carbon tax is a money       grab).              Canada is considered a democratic country and yet, the federal government       targets hard working taxpayers weekly, monthly and yearly. A taxpayer in the       low to moderate income would be hounded to death by Revenue Canada if they       owed a few hundred dollars, (       I know because I was there once).              The Federal Government of Canada has learned to harass in more subtle ways.       One example of late is the thousands of legal/illegal people crossing the       US/Canada border. Multiculturalism, guilt, shame and love your neighbour were       used to accept the people        from countries at war. Now every border town wants more money to feed, clothe       and shelter those seeking asylum. Yet, our Native Canadians do not have pure       drinking water.              I have great respect for Sen. Downe for raising this problem repeatedly with       the hope that someone will act.                      Flora Jean Thompson,       Charlottetown                     ----------------------------------------------------------        Miss a Tax Tale Miss a lot!        Visit the CRA SOTW Library at http://canada.revenue.agency.angelfire.com               ------------------------------------------------------------        Alan Baggett - http://www.taxcollectorsbible.com/ - Tax Collector's Bible               --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
