   This nation is totally screwed!

Migrants To Vote | “It's illegal, you say, for illegal aliens to vote in
a federal election. Well, actually, it's not illegal, it turns out.
Congress passed something in the US code, the federal code, a line that,
unbeknownst to the rest of us, makes it legal for illegal aliens to vote
in federal elections if they believe they are citizens. It's a state of

   §611. Voting by aliens

   (c) Subsection (a) does not apply to an alien if—

   (1) each natural parent of the alien (or, in the case of an adopted
alien, each adoptive parent of the alien) is or was a citizen (whether
   by birth or naturalization);

   (2) the alien permanently resided in the United States prior to
attaining the age of 16; and

   (3) the alien reasonably believed at the time of voting in violation of
such subsection that he or she was a citizen of the United States.

Republicans in Congress are pushing a bill called the SAVE (Safeguard
American Voter Eligibility) Act that would require proof of citizenship
to register to vote. Meanwhile, Republican legislatures in at least six
states have placed noncitizen voting measures on the Nov. 5 ballot,
while at least two more are debating whether to do so.

“American elections are for American citizens, and we intend to keep it
that way,” House Administration Committee Chairman Rep. Bryan Steil of
Wisconsin said during a hearing he hosted on the topic this past week.

Democrats on the committee lambasted their Republican colleagues for
focusing on what they called a “nonissue,” arguing it was part of a
strategy with former President Donald Trump to lay the groundwork for
   election challenges this fall.
