Hi Carol,
>> Ah..That was really nice of your family to take her in, that's for sure.
> She;s a joy here. She has one bad habit, She can steal a chilled blue crab

> *I* cant even open them that fast!
Lol :)
> Last time, she fished it out fast from th fridge and ran under the bed with

hehehe bet no one wanted it then Lol.. Outside of that one time Sophie decided
to swipe about 30 of the 90 raviolis I made with my atlas machine, the pups
here have been good.. mostly . True, we know better than to leave
_anything_ in their reach.. Oh this was so silly.. yesterday on the way to the
docs office Ron and I saw a clear plastic container of my turmeric in the back
yard.. dumped mostly on the ground, and then obviously tasted and decidedly
not a favorite flavor hahahaha .. dumped that one, and will have to get a new
one now.. :)
> Can you say 'snap crackle pop'?
hehe.. with those teeth, no kidding :)
>> > We selected Aunti Mabel Anne, who was recovering from heartworm treatment,
>>
>> And you have experience with that one.
> Yes. Easy once you know it.
That's good. Pups are caught up with shots, but now we're still having a time
getting the four kitties in for their next set.. Now at least they will let
you _pet_ them, and they don't mind coming up to you and giving you a snoot
. Before, they wouldn't even tolerate a touch.. but if you try to pick
them up, you better be armed with several towels and heavy duty gloves .
Ah well.. maybe by the summer time they'll let us grab them
>> Heh.. like our pups and toby.. never a problem.. they just are plain happy
>> together. :)
> Daisy-chan has learned to not startle her or be startled when Aunti Mabel
> barks if she comes up along her backside unseen.
That's good! I'm sure that made you happy . I saw Lulu kitty coming up
to Sophie dog the other day, looking to give her a snoot.. Sophie looked a
little scared Lol..
It is really funny to see the kitties jump on the bed at night and settle in
stretching all over the pups .. doesn't leave us a lot of room when they all
decide to move in hahaha but thank goodness that doesn't happen too often :)
Toby sleeps with my son, who's moved back home.. so at least we don't have the
three of those elephants in our bed Lol Sophie and Indy sleep at the bottom
of the bed, thank goodness hehe
>> . and Daisy-chan likes her too. We got her 2-3 days
>> > before Thanksgiving and when it came time to give her up, we asked to adop
>> > her instead. We had her housebroken and everything by then (grin).
>>
>> Very cool :)
> Best any can tell she was never housebroken indoors. The fosters had a doggie
> door but there were many accidents. With too many dogs, they didnt know which
> ne but when she came here it stopped. It took only 3 days.
It could have been any number of things.. strange place (the fosters) from
where she'd been before.. who knows. I'm glad she's comfy with you folks
though.. She's probably in heaven at your place now.
>> Our Priscilla was such a sweetie.. I bet Mabel Anne is just as sweet.
> She's a charmer for sure!
Indy is turning out to be the charmer here.. he's so funny because he's such a
big baby! He still loves being held on your lap (though he's hanging off it
now since he's getting BIG ) Sophie is a wild kisser haha.. that's how she
wakes me up in the morning Lol.. she peeks under the sheet to see if my eyes
are open, and if she detects even a slight movement, she starts licking your
face like crazy :) They're both such good dogs :)
Take care,
Janis
