sounds like common "sibling rivalry" or "pecking order" establishment... i've
a friend who is definitely a cat person and when she had 12+ cats, there were,
at times, some quite unruly "discussions" between the felines... they
generally got it all settled and things were calmer...

of course, it could be "that time of the month", too ;) (GD&RFTH)
