Hi Mike,

Ron had to take a huge St. Bernard to Upstate NY from Baltimore one year, and
boy, to hear him tell it, it was more than a wet exterience Lol.. so I can
just imagine how your dog was :)

Lol.. too much.. over here, toby and indy both love to gulp a mouthfull of
water and drizzle it all over you.. it drives me nuts! they carry it with
them, and I'm SURE they do it on purpose :) :)

See, you should do like I do.. I tell people "wear your play clothes" haha

Yes, I'd think that's enough time to do a dog in.. probably less than that. :(
I know what you mean about the guy losing his losing his job. It seems like
there are just about none around, period. :(

How horrible. Yep, how can we forget how hot it got this summer.. boy.

Oh I believe the dog was upset. When Midnight (Pricilla's sister) was hit by
a truck or whatever in front of Priscilla, that poor girl almost had a nervous
breakdown and couldn't stop shaking when she got home. Finally after watching
her go through that for another day, I called the vet and got some
tranquilizers for her. He said it wasn't that uncommon that a dog would be so
upset when one of the family dogs died. It was the first time I'd heard that,
but he was absolutely right and in thinking about it, it makes just too much
sense... one week on that medication, and thankfully she was fine after that.
I guess she just needed some help dealing with it all. Granted an extreme
case, but still..
> In a way I believe that, being pack animals. They miss those that are gone. I
Yes, in a way it was really the best thing for Toby when we had to have
Priscilla put to sleep.. The vet called Toby over so he could see that she was
at rest. He didn't go through all the angst that Priscilla did when Midnight,
her sister, died.

Yeah, that would be rough for sure. Great that you mentioned this to her.

Oh yeah.. when my son just moved to Baltimore it was horrible for Toby too..
he moped around for quite a while. Eventually he came back to his playful
self, but everytime we'd return from the store or whatever, he'd have to check
to see if my son had also returned.. you could see it in his eyes, poor guy.
Well, eventually after a year when my son moved back home again, and we pulled
up with my son in the car, well you can imagine the look on Toby's face :) :)
Wish I had a picture hahha

Yeah, I'm the same way. I'm always tempted to leave a note on the owner's
windshield, "YOU CREEP!" etc. etc.. but I figure the dog might just get more
upset if someone approached the car.. :(
Take care,
