Re: Fish and No Power By: Janis Kracht to Mike Roberts on Tue Oct 30 2012 10:58 pm Hi Janis > And.. btw, I think fishies are quite on-topic here.. they are a favorite of > Cats afterall Lol LOL, and there is Nothing like watching a cat fish by the fish bowl.. > I made hot spicy mussels the day before yesterday, and interestingly enough > it was the DOGS that wanted them though :) That something special about dogs, they will be glad to try just aboutanything. If a dog doesn't like it, You might think about eating it yourself :) Years and Years ago The Family had a newfoundland. He was raised as a puppy onnatural food. The breeder suggested to continue, but said she understood if wedid not keep it up, but feed him a quality kibble and throw some fruit andveggies in there too. My Mother spoiled that dog. She would cut up apples andstuff which he loved. But it was hilarious to see him eat when she cut upcarrots into small pieces. You know how a dog can Wolf his dinner down. Wellthis guy would dig right in and eat. You walk away and come back and everylittle piece of carrot, he spit out next to the side of his dish in a littlepile.. He just hated carrots and even when grabbing mouthfuls of food, he wouldeat the food and spit out the carrots just like a little kid. I don't thinkthere was another food he did not like. Did the dogs get any mussels? My Parrot is the interesting one. He loves everything in spurts. The vet saidwhen I first got him. He is an avian vet. I will tell you this, he is going tooutlive you and you can spend all kinds of rediculous money on Parrot food andspecial parrot kibble etc. I am telling You, Feed him off of the table. Nocommercial parrot food. It will save you a lot of money and he will eat better. So that is what I did. He eats just about anything, but oddly his favorites arechicken wings, scrambled eggs, egg salad, meatloaf and ohh his all timefavorite is Hot dogs. You would not think that would be good for him but thevet says it is perfect as he eats fruits and veggies too, but prefers the meatand proteins over them, It is the first thing he eats in the mix of food. Lovesmashed potatoes, green beans, bananas, melons, just about anything. When heeats one of his favorites, Chicken wings, he eats them meat bone and all. Whoknew they were little cannibals |
