Kinda sounds like my dog...  She's a mix of german and maybe some chow (we
aren't sure).  Days she wants out and right back in and then other days she
will come in if and only if she is ready...  goof....

Oh how I love the Newf...  Or a Saint...  Can't get them in during this
weather to save your own life...  They hate it warm inside but don't realize
outside it's too cold out.  Wait..  No.. they  know..  They don't care!
