I have purchased it once... and discontinued it when my kitty had liver failure. One of my kitties stopped eating and started vomiting up yellow plhem. WHen I took him to the vet the pet health insurance paid for all the labs that it needed but because there was a 95% chance that he would not make it through they refused to pay for the hospitalization or the iv fluds and stuff he needed. Since I was a former paramedic and I was working at the time I decided to take on the challenge and between me and my mother we began force feeding him the A/D food and giving IV fluids twice a day. After three weeks of this he started eating and put on weight. He lived anothe rtwo years after that and the pet insurance cancelled him. I kept the female on the insurance and she ened up getting kitty breast cancer. Again they only offered to pay for the euthanasia. At this time I reviewed it with my vet and she said Priscilla would live another 6 months with a decent quality of life. I treated her for 6 months and then we had to let her go as it became apparent that she would not get better. There was a surgical option that would have removed the tumors and possibly gave her a year or two more... but the insruance would not pay for that. All I have to say is get everything in writing. What they will and will not pay... make sure you can use your vet of choice. Don't do ANYTHING without any written specifics.
