My dad bought an irish setter once that was friendly to non-family members as
can be, *until they tried to leave*... once, that dog decided to bite the
village Doctor on the ass :(

My dad couldn't appologize enough as you can probably guess...

When I was training our dogs, I found that if you didn't give the dog
leftovers, the dog wouldn't try to steal food ...until I got my first black
labrador retriever.. then all bets were off in that respect.  I'm sure he was
thinking, "Your Food is My Food!"
