Rainy day or not, I still have to conduct the affairs of the  
day just the same.  I can't just not go into work or do  
something else inside just because it's raining.

However, growing up on a farm, for me rainy days did sometimes  
provide a change of plans.  If it was a just a drizzle or light  
rain, it was usually fence-repair work. Only if it was pouring  
rain, I could stay inside and read or listen to the radio.

Cattle seemed to pick rainy days to break through a fence. Then  
it would be necessary to get out there pouring or not to round  
them up.
