August,
I really desired owning a 17" CRT in 1993 while looking through Computer
Shopper Magazines ads.
I saw some in stores for$700+ USD, that was way more than I wanted to spend on
Color Monitor.

I asked over Ham Radio and was suggested to get a MAG Innovision 15" Multisync
CTR.

Back in 1984 a TV Set was all that was needed for the Commodore 64, but after 9
years of using it, and using a XT Clone w/ Green Screen at work for 3 years I
wanted a 486 built.
Someone at Church worked with a person who built PC's and had them call me
about building one.
I specified the MAG Monitor which back then sold for $535USD, what Video Card
and how much Memory (16MB) in a Tower Case.

The price quoted was well within prices in the magazine so I had it built.

The MAG Monitor got put in the box when I saw a 19" LED for $200USD after
getting a XP PC in IIRC 2006.

That LCD Monitor sure beats the price back in 1993 for a 17"'er that sold for
$700+USD.
