Did you look under Settings / Connections, or Settings /
Network Internet, or whatever the menu is and see what is
available?

This might not be the ethernet-based type of connection that  
you imagine, but a USB method is direct to your pc.  Try it.   
If you already have the USB cable for charging, you can get  
your pc connected to the internet right away without additional  
dongles/equipment.
