We had a neighborhood cat that belonged to one owner, but was an outdoor
cat. Another neighbor started feeding him, not knowing who he belonged
to, decided he liked the new house better, and moved in.

Fickle, they are.

The old owner would walk by and see the cat, he'd respond with a feline
"meh".
