Just having an argument with someone about Starship Troopers... and was going
round in circles until I realised the idiot had only seen the movie and never
read the book. Had to then explain to him that the movie was directed by an
avowed pacifist and anti-military idiot who set out to deliberately mock the
themes and concepts in the book.
