Actually, floppies are still being used for industrial applications. Airlines that use floppies to update navigation systems are buying them in spades. As of late, some companies have started investing in floppy emulators. THat's right: you have a fake floppy you instert in the floppy reader, and then you attatch an USB drive or something to the fake floppy. That way you get to use your old machinery without having to buy more floppies. -- gopher://gopher.richardfalken.com/1/richardfalken --- SBBSecho 3.20-Linux * Origin: Palantir * palantirbbs.ddns.net * Pensacola, FL * (1:135/115) SEEN-BY: 1/120 123 15/0 18/0 200 90/1 105/81 106/201 116/116 120/616 SEEN-BY: 123/0 10 25 126 131 180 200 525 755 3001 129/305 135/0 115 SEEN-BY: 135/205 210 211 212 300 383 384 385 388 390 391 153/7715 SEEN-BY: 154/10 50 701 218/700 220/10 90 222/2 226/18 30 227/114 229/110 SEEN-BY: 229/112 113 206 275 307 317 400 426 428 452 470 664 700 240/1120 SEEN-BY: 250/1 266/512 275/1000 282/1038 291/111 292/854 299/6 305/3 SEEN-BY: 317/3 320/219 322/757 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 SEEN-BY: 712/1321 2320/105 3634/0 12 24 27 56 57 119 5020/1042 5075/35 PATH: 135/115 3634/12 154/10 229/426 |
