Was it that bad? They weren't bad at all. That nickname is just from the rivalry at the time. TRS-80 users eventually adopted the term themselves, capitalizing it to match the TRS of TRS-80 (i.e. TRaSh-80). The original TRS-80 model I was eventually outclassed by Apple II's and Commodore 64's. But that was just one model of computer bearing the TRS-80 moniker. There were the models II, III and 4 which were marketed more towards small and medium businesses. Then there were the Coco's, 1, 2 and 3. The Coco 1, like the Model I, was outclassed by Apples and C64's, but the later CoCo 2 was similar in capability and the CoCo3 surpassed them both, but came at a time when people were moving away from 8-bit micros. Probably more than you wanted to know lol. === blueMail/DOS 1.3 --- SBBSecho 3.20-Linux * Origin: Halls of Valhalla -:- hovalbbs.com:2333 (1:218/840) SEEN-BY: 1/123 15/0 18/200 90/1 103/705 105/81 106/201 120/616 123/10 SEEN-BY: 123/131 124/5016 129/305 153/757 7715 154/10 50 701 203/0 SEEN-BY: 218/700 840 220/10 70 90 221/0 6 226/17 18 30 227/114 229/110 SEEN-BY: 229/112 113 206 275 307 317 400 426 428 452 470 664 700 240/1120 SEEN-BY: 240/5832 266/512 267/800 280/464 5003 282/1038 291/111 292/854 SEEN-BY: 301/1 305/3 310/31 317/3 320/219 322/757 341/66 234 342/200 SEEN-BY: 396/45 423/120 460/58 633/280 712/848 770/1 100 330 340 772/210 SEEN-BY: 772/220 230 2320/105 3634/12 5020/400 5075/35 PATH: 218/840 770/1 280/464 154/10 229/426 |
