GH> wow, that was a bargain back in those days. :)

DD> Actually it was about standard (in my area). For $100 more you could
DD> get a dual floppy drive and have both a:/ and b:/ drives. And you had a
DD> choice of 8" or 5.25" drives. Thannk providence I didn't go with the 8"
DD> guys. They were fading fast, even thsn.

hehehehe, yep... my color computer took the 5 1/5 inch floppies
though single sided double density. Added the os/9 operating system, compiled
device
drivers for the 3 1/2 floppies and I was in hog heaven.

GH> ah come on now, just think how much fun you had learning all this
GH> stuff and it carries on to today. Imagine growing up and getting
GH> into computing with only the point and click interface. :)

DD> Or thinking you *HAVE* tobe tethered to your $mart-a$$ phone. Bv(=

 bwahahahahah yeah... that too. :)

DD> Helping my brother clean out a basement storage space the other day I
DD> came across a Coleco Adam I had bought his daughters in an attempt to
DD> wean them away from Q*Bert and Donkey Kong to more productive pursuits.

hehehehe, with the Ziglog Z80 chip? Initial price back in 1983 at $600 was
quite an investment wasn't it. :)
