It's truely amazing the popularity of vintage/retro-computers today. There are large groups that like to play with, or actaully do things with, vintage computers. The size of the C64 group is really amazing. They are large enough that there are people who are building hardware and software for the C64. I recently played with S-BASIC for my Kaypro. This is a compiled, structured BASIC. It's basically (ha! BASIC-ly) Pascal using BASIC keywords. I've also been playing with Turbo Pascal on the Kaypro as well as my old MS-DOS machines. I have bad memories of COBOL (I did that for a job for 6 years), so I'm not going back there. But I do want to play with FORTRAN again (second programming language I ever learned). ... A jerk present in a group indicates a jerk in charge. === MultiMail/Linux v0.52 --- SBBSecho 3.14-Win32 * Origin: Diamond Mine Online BBS - bbs.dmine.net:24 (1:275/89) SEEN-BY: 1/123 15/0 18/200 19/36 30/0 30 50/109 90/1 105/81 106/201 SEEN-BY: 116/18 120/331 340 123/131 140 124/5016 129/305 153/7715 SEEN-BY: 154/10 203/0 218/700 221/0 222/2 226/30 227/114 702 229/101 SEEN-BY: 229/424 426 428 452 664 700 981 1016 1017 230/150 152 240/1120 SEEN-BY: 240/5832 249/1 110 206 317 400 250/1 261/38 100 266/512 267/155 SEEN-BY: 275/0 89 91 93 95 97 98 99 100 103 201 301 280/464 5003 282/1038 SEEN-BY: 282/1056 288/100 291/100 111 292/854 301/0 1 101 113 310/31 SEEN-BY: 317/3 320/119 219 322/757 340/400 341/66 342/200 396/45 423/120 SEEN-BY: 460/58 463/68 467/888 633/280 640/1321 712/848 770/1 801/161 SEEN-BY: 801/189 2320/105 2452/250 3634/12 5000/111 5001/100 5005/49 SEEN-BY: 5019/40 5020/715 1042 2047 4441 5053/58 5064/56 5083/444 PATH: 275/89 100 261/38 5020/1042 301/1 280/464 229/101 426 |
