The tree actually produced much more. I would estimate that there were a
couple dozen on the ground that were already degrading before I got there.  In
the past, the deer or elk or mice would nibble on the best of the best and
leave nothing for me. This year, it was my turn!  I only missed just a handful
of apples from the very top.  A few apples dropped while I was picking the
fresher ones from the ground.  They are a rather nice large yellow variety.
