True, there shouldn't be ongoing "empty" messages like that.  Only the first
few when even the description changes too. So, there are sofar 3 scenarios
when that can happen:

[1] icon change
[2] name change
[3] desc change

    ...which reminds me I need plop in the desc for WIFI.
