I worked in SF for years and loved the cab culture. I think it's different 
when you're a local.

I used to catch a cab cross-town weekly, and remember once the dispatch 
computer was down. They were back to the old-school dispatcher on a radio 
droning out intersections, landmarks and addresses to pick up fares. It felt 
like a Mad Men throwback.
