*Games OVER? Tokyo 2020 boss doesn?t rule out CANCELLING Olympics if Covid
numbers spike

*"" With the 2020 Olympic Games set to kick off on Friday, the organizing
committee CEO has REFUSED to deny the possibility they be cancelled over covid
fears.

"" ?We can?t predict what will happen with the number of coronavirus cases. So
we will continue discussions if there is a spike in cases,? said Toshiro Muto
earlier today.

"" By Tuesday, there had already been 71 cases reported linked to the games,
with a Covid state of emergency in place in Japan from last week until August.

Comment: To me, the idea to proceed with an Olympics sans spectators while
amidst a national covid-emergency was a lame idea ..and this covid outbreak is
just a (insurance?) ruse to cancel when they should have cancelled right at
the start.
