You don't have to be a donator, but you have to have an  
account, I believe.  I tried it and it prompted for a login.

Go ahead.. send them a buck or two. It's a fine/convenient  
system.

I've donated to the Wikipedia in the past. Seemed right to  
contribute something every once in a while.
