The used car market must be tougher than I thought. I did an
AutoTrader search and found only a rew Foci I would buy that met the
criteria, and they were all 7 or 8 years old. I was surprised. I
figured there would be many used compacts for $4000 with less than
100,000 miles. I was wrong. Mostly anything that was less than 7 years
old with an asking price of less than $4,000 had a salvage title.
Ouch. What do people on limited income buy? Before I spent $4,000 on a
seven year old car, I'd have to seriously consider buying a new Kia or
Hyundai (assuming I could afford the payments).
