   I remember the station well. Back then, the word "underground" was used a lot   
   to describe these stations. When KMYR went 24 hours a day, they would play   
   music for maybe 10 hours and then fill the rest of the time with continuous   
   environmental sounds:    
   forests, ocean waves, etc. punctuated occasionally by a very softly spoken   
   call sign, "This is KMYR, Denver."
