XPost: alt.atheism, sac.politics, alt.abuse       XPost: soc.women       From: daily.beater@gazette.com              Authorities in Colorado searched a landfill Monday for clues in       the disappearance of a Southern California native who has been       missing for more than four months.              Charlene Voight, 36, now of Littleton, was last seen June 29.       Her family reported her missing on July 8 after she hadn't been       heard from for several days, KTLA sister station KDVR in Denver       reported.              She is originally from San Clemente, where she lived with her       boyfriend Jeff Beier, who was at one point held on suspicion of       sex assault in an unrelated Colorado case, according to the       Denver Post. The charges in that case were later dropped.              Several days after she was reported missing, police found       Voight's car abandoned in a gravel lot about a block from the       apartment complex where she was living with Beier.              She had filed a restraining order request against Beier in 2012       in Orange County Superior Court, the Post reported, saying she       she was afraid he would kill her. She described him slapping,       choking and dragging her around the house.              The couple broke up but reunited, and in 2015, Voight moved to       Colorado to be with Beier, according to the newspaper. She       returned to California to complete a degree from Cal Poly Pomona       this year, her sister told the Post.              Her sister said Voight had gone back to Colorado to live with       Beier about a month before she disappeared.              The Littleton Police Department said evidence found at her       apartment and the site where her car was abandoned led them to       suspect she is the victim of a crime.              On Monday, investigators began searching the Tower Landfill in       Commerce City, according to a statement released by Littleton       police, who did not specify what they were looking for or what       prompted the search.              "The search will continue for an undetermined length of time,"       the Police Department stated.              No suspects have been named.              Beier works for a local porta-potty and disposal company.              Correction: An earlier version of this story referred to a       sexual assault case in which Beier was a suspect. The story has       been updated to reflect that the charges in that case were       dropped.              http://ktla.com/2016/11/14/search-for-missing-woman-from-socal-       takes-colorado-authorities-to-landfill-outside-denver/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
