From: ted.dunning@gmail.com              > Anyone have any ideas what to do?              Not really. That is the crux of expert systems. They are either a lot       of work for something you could have done with textpad (i.e. search for       strings) or they get so complicated that they can't be maintained. Can       you say why your system is better than something like IMDB?              Even worse, their inputs are generally a matter of judgment that is       non-portable from user to user. For instance, who really is the star       of a DVD? How do you define drama as opposed to mystery or comedy?              If this is a homework assignment, then I would give you full credit for       actually building a toy expert system, but I would also try to get you       to go beyond that to something likely to be more useful.              [ comp.ai is moderated. To submit, just post and be patient, or if ]       [ that fails mail your article to |
