|    Context representation, models and model    |

From: cyk79@web.de              Hello,              I am searching for "standards", well established "methods" for       representing (modelling) contextual data.              Question you might ask: What do I mean when saying context?       Context is not a clear defined term, we are all aware of that and the       usual definitions can be read within all those papers flying around.       Imagine you have a standalone application which tracks and records your       behavior (your interaction with the application) and the surrounding       environment (time, day of week, location, etc.) - let's assume all of       that makes up "my" context.              1.       What are "state of the art" approaches to represent such context data       (to create a model describing this data)?       Does one draw simple trees, graphs or forrests?       Does one use ontologies?       What options do I have (any links to a good overview?)?              2.       What reasoning mechanisms exist to draw conclusion out of the data       collected and the model being created?              3.       How might a generic, pluggable Framework look like to track & record       those data and to make it available again?       Would one have a context producer and a context consumer which act       here? The producer might be a sensor and store data into the model and       the consumer can read that out.       But where is the "automatic reasoning" here then?              4.       Any links to related work?       Searching for "context" (Google, Citeseer) does reveal a lot of hits,       but I have still not found a good answer to those questions...              Thanks!              [ comp.ai is moderated.
