|    Relax complications of the system -- BDI    |

From: mgawinecki@gmail.com              Hello              We've, I mean our team, started to design system with agents       negotiating. Generally speaking, Shop is registering on the list       Clients interested in negotiation. Situation seemed easy and we try to       structure this problem in terms interaction protocols, when each agent       has limited number of acts to perform and each participant knows in       advance what his/her peers can answer.              The problem arises when we would like add any new functionality to the       system with pre-defined protocol. E.g. Another Shops'Agent,       WarehouseAgent, informs Shop about new conditions of negotiations and       makes that out of protocol sequence (because of its pro-activity). Then       all registered Clients must be informed by the Shop Agent.              Also between moments of negotiation start and after registration each       Client could have the possibility to cancel registration.              I know JADE environment quite well and complexity of the system seems       to grow exponentially. I wonder whether in this situation usage of BDI       architecture would solve the problem and let us focus on different       situations, not on synchronizing JADE behaviours ?              Regards,       Maciej              [ comp.ai is moderated ... your article may take a while to appear. ]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
