|    Current State of the art in agent intero    |
|    30 Dec 06 13:44:20    |
Hi everybody,              After reading about FIPA, MASIF, KQML, etc., I cannot find a conclusion       regarding the current state of these issues and how to choose a       suitable       option to enable agent interoperability. I hope you can help me to       understand the current state of the system (redirecting me the       appropriate information source). KQML as the       ACL? FIPA? What about the content language? Maybe the trend is using       ontologies and description logics? Any recent study on these issues?              Also, is there any example that clearly proves the usefulness of ACLs       and/or       KQML? I mean, an example where not using an ACL would make things very       difficult. Sometimes, it is not clear if this currently helps to       integrate       heterogeneous information systems/agents or it is still at a research       stage       and therefore other proposals are equally valid.              Thanks in advance,              S.              [ comp.ai is moderated ... your article may take a while to appear. ]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
