   I'm not interested in spearheading such an effort,   
   I've had my turns, but a brief review of:

   will demonstrate that postings about software agents   
   are spatterpainted widely across Usenet, to the   
   point that the community discussing them may not   
   even realize that an online community of interest   
   exists, though international conferences on the   
   topic abound.   
      
   Anyone wanting this newsgroup creation as a project,   
   feel free. Probably comp.ai.agents would be a   
   felicitous location/name, though many others are   
   possible.
