   The applications of multi agent systems is so varied and wide. You may   
   want to look at the following paper   
      
   Dipti S. Fook Heng Wong, Ramesh Orunganti, "Management of Distributed   
   Generation using Intelligent Multi Agent Systems(MAS)", International   
   Conference on Computational Intelligence, Robotics and Autonomous   
   Systems (2003)   
      
   That is one application that deploys MAS for managemnet of   
   restructured energy markets. It is more liek a simulation software.   
      
      
   MAS can also be deployed as distributed control systems. Agents can be   
   deployed in say, HVAC control of buildings in a distributed fashion   
   with their respective sets of rules and policies for the particular   
   room or level.   
      
   MAS are also deployed as commercial softwares for work coordination   
   and scheduling purpose. One such application has been successfully   
   deployed by some telco companies as part of their mobile service   
      
   The possibilties are almost endless....
