   Faculty Position Opportunities   
   Institute of Statistical Science, Academia Sinica, Taipei   
      
   Contingent  upon  administrative  approval,  we  expect  to  have   
   one  to  two  regular  research  positions  available  in  2008   
   along  two  tracks.  Track  I  covers  all  statistical  areas.   
   Candidates  must  have  a  PhD  in  statistics  or  related  fields.   
   Track  II  is  designated  for  the  emerging  area  of   
   bioinformatics,  systems  and  computational  biology,  and   
   mathematics  in  biology  (MIB).  A  doctorate  in  an  area  of   
   biological,  statistical,  mathematical,  or  computer  science  is   
   required.  Rank  of  appointment  (Assistant  Research  Fellow,   
   Associate  Research  Fellow  or  Research  Fellow)  for  both  tracks   
   will  be  commensurate  with  the  applicant's  experience  and   
   qualifications.
