|    online programming environment for testi    |

From: faivrem@hotmail.com              Hi,              I am interested in developing a online programming environment to be       able to easily test different aspects of AI.              The model would be a client/server architecture where the server would       hold a virtual environment in which the clients (bots) would evolve       and archive some goals. An API (or simply a communication protocol)       would be provided for clients programmers.              The server would have to provide a simple mean to easily create the       world, the objects, the possible actions of the bots, and the goals.       The bots could act in cooperation, competition or alone. A performance       measure (or several) of the bots would have to be defined for each       problem.              The AI techniques used to solve the goals would be irrelevant as long       as the goals are archived, but could be the subject of discussions on       a related website. The clients source code could be shared or not: the       utility of such project would be to have a tool/environment to put in       practice what each of us interested in AI has learned, and to perfect       our programming techniques.              Does such an architecture already exists? if yes, which server among       them would best fit my description ?       Are you interested in developing this architecture ?       Suggestions and comments are welcome.              http://weblog.easyplay.com.tw/l.asp?P=single&K=384              Mickael.              [ comp.ai is moderated.
