Can you define the term       more precisely? I'm sure it's well within the ability of current NLP       systems to read a text and then make some sort of comment on it; whether or       not the information they provide can be seen as an opinion depends on how       you define the term. As for why you don't see machines giving their       opinions on movies, I'd say this is largely because the state of the art in       image recognition simply isn't yet at the point where computers can       recognize arbitrary objects performing arbitrary actions.
