   Hello,   
      
    I am an engineering graduate from India and in my free time I am   
   working upon AI topics. I thought of doing a project on NLP, which is   
   based on theme extraction from a story.   
      
    The idea of the project is to read the story and output the MORAL of   
   the story. I am planning to approach this in the following way   
   1) Parse the story semantically and extract the theme   
   2) Train the theme against database of proverb and update the database   
   3) Attempt to accurately predict the moral of the story.   
      
    I am facing problem at Step-1 itself. I am not able to come up with a   
   computational model to extract the theme. Since the subject and object   
   are of very less importance to me than the actions performed by   
   subjects on objects, I thought of building computational model to   
   analyse the actions, but with very little progress as I cannot extract   
   emotonal and psycological aspects of the story.   
      
    Please help me by providing links to the papers or projects that are   
   done with respect to theme extraction from the story.
