The       ISRIC is one of the centres within BT Group's Research and Venturing       division.              The ISRIC carries out research and development activities for BT in       areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Optimisation, Soft Computing and       Evolutionary Computing. Research teams within ISRIC take part in       international R&D programmes with well-known universities and BT's       partners and suppliers to ensure that the research remains leading edge       and relevant to BT's strategic objectives. ISRIC teams have been       successfully downstreaming and exploiting results of their research in       the company's business units creating significant values for BT.              The role of the successful candidate will be to undertake research and       development work in AI technology (Configuration, Constraint       Programming) and its application to Service and Product Configuration       in the telecommunications domain.              ESSENTIAL       This appointment demands:       - Substantial knowledge at a high level, eg PhD or equivalent, in       Artificial Intelligence.
