   Just to be clear, the "big money" isn't in the $2M prize for winning the   
   DARPA challenge -- most of that will be eaten by your research &   
   hardware budgets -- it's in all those lucrative contracts and patents   
   that will come from actually having one that works.   
      
   Last year, there were some good contenders, but they all seemed to fall   
   just a little bit short.  I'd be a bit surprised if no one actually   
   managed to pull it off, this year.
