|    statistic analysis of jazz melodies    |
|    29 Oct 05 00:26:16    |
From: fatecasino@yahoo.com              I am working on an gen. algorithm related to jazz music. In order to       assign the fitness function I need a statistical analysis of the motifs       used in jazz. For instance, which rythmic motifs are met in jazz       melodies and with what frequency. Is there any book or publication       analyzing and categorizing the motives? For instance, there many books       about classical music composers(analyzing statistically Bach or       Beethoven motifs), but are there any for jazz composers(M.Davis, for       instance)?       Thanks.              [ comp.ai is moderated.
