   Your question is a bit difficult to answer since C++ is only a   
   reasonable choice for intelligent programs that *are* pretty heavy on   
   the math.   
      
   For more symbolic systems, there are better languages to use that give   
   you better abstraction.   
      
   My recommendation is that you learn the math.  And pick up a few other   
   languages in order to see why people use them.
