   Yaroslav's answer is very insightful, but it betrays his empricist   
   tendencies.  Traditional AI has often been about hand-coding "correct"   
   answers based on intuitionist principles and thus practitioners of that   
   school of AI would reject his pragmatically useful approach out of hand   
   in favor of an alternative that would involve 50 years of effort by   
   legions of domain "experts".
