      From: milind.a.joshi@gmail.com              Hi,       With such a short time-frame, it looks like your research would either       be a summary paper, or an applied research kind of project., unless you       are very ahead on theoretical research and have a mathematical       background, in which case, you could extend an algorithm and include       your proof in your paper.              On the applied side, how about applying a latest algorithm to a data       set, and comparing it against the currently best-known approach? The       results don't count in this kind of a project, your approach and       originality does, as does the quality of your analysis.              You didn't actually expect us to give you a cut-and-dried topic name       now did you? :-)              Regards,       Milind              [ comp.ai is moderated.
