   My culture is very important to me. Even though I live in a small town where   
   the most Mexican thing is Taco Bell, I still had hopes of meeting a Latin man.   
   Dating gringos is okay too but they seem to have this idea about Latinas and   
   treat us all the same    
   rather than seeing us as for who we are. I started to use Amigos Latin dating   
   site and am very happy now. I have found a man who I think might be the one   
   but we are taking things slowly for now. Miguel lives just in the next town   
   from me and we would    
   have never met if it weren’t for Amigos. I think that more Latinos should be   
   using the internet to meet up with singles, especially when they are in   
   situations like me. It is really nice that we already have so much in common   
   because of our experiences    
   of being first generation Latinos in America and having made friends is worth   
   as much to me as my love for my Miguel. Hopefully, things will continue in   
   this direction and next time I will be telling you about how I met my husband   
   online.
