208b3843       From: guiffrid@buffalo.edu              Hello: I am trying to find out if the following operation can be modeled       using fuzzy numbers. I want to raise X to the power Y where X is an       integer taking on values X = 1, 2, 3, ..., and Y is a tri or trap fuzzy       number.              I have consulted Intro to Fuzzy Arith by Kaufmann, and Fuzzy Math Models       in Engineering and Management by Kaufmann and Gupta but have found no       information on how to handle X^Y as I have described. Any advice would be       appreciated. Thanks, Al.              guiffrid@acsu.buffalo.edu              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
