You work for a company but you are doing research with your Yahoo id. OK, I
   might buy that.

You need to figure out which controller would be best (or what kind of
difference one would have over the other), but you only need to know about
the simulator, you aren't interested in the implementation (which, of
course, would be essential in order to map value point analysis and
feature-versus-benefit analysis to your actual business environment. This I
   find very difficult to buy.

You already have a 3 degrees-of-freedom arm but you are looking to see if an
"intelligent" controller would make any difference -- OK, what's wrong with
the current robot arm? What kind of work application? Simulators simulate
many things --- a 3-dof arm for assembling cars or aircraft would work in a
somewhat different manner from one handling nuclear fuel rods or from one
unloading palettes from a truck bed, or from one picking up rocks on the
surface of another planet (or moon). This I also find difficult to buy.

Asking for the simulator and not actual implementation details is,
generally, a dead give away that this is an academic exercise.

Oh, and "please reply asap" is another hint that you just might be a student
   up against the wall.

   That's all I gotta say.
