I have two approaches for that one... First is to copy the files from one OE
to the other. But this doesn't come for free just like that. Not for
newsgroup messages at least. For some reason OE treats the news data
different from regular email data. If I just copy a .dbx file for a
newsgroup, I can't see it. I must be subscribed to the group. If I then
subscribe to the group, I can't see it either because OE creates another
.dbx file for the group just subscribed. I must instead first subscribe to
the group and receive some messages (populate the new .dbx file) and only
then I can overwrite it with the old .dbx file and continue from there.
Another bad thing here is that something's wrong with the format
interpretation, I specifically mean the date... If I try to move the .dbx
file between English and Russian windows/OE, I'll get the sorting messed up
(probably due to the different default order of day and month) and then
there will be some other problems. Finally, it's impossible to drag a .nws
file from explorer to OE and get it into the .dbx file. It works with email
messages and you can extract news posts from a .dbx that way but not the
   other way around.
There's another one... OE wouldn't let me to subscribe to a group whose name
I know -- it would require me to download the entire list of the newsgroups
from the NNTP server first and then select the group from the list, which I
hate to do when I'm on a dialup. Oddly enough, there's a shortcut -- I may
create an HTML page containing a link of the form "news:newsgroupname" (it
doesn't want to let me type the previous thing in the quotes w/o the
quotes -- too smart :) and click on it, which would add a newsgroup to your
news account w/o getting the list of groups!
   Nasty hacks...
And for whatever weird reason (to tie people to OE?), OE does not support
exporting messages into anything but exchange, however it seems to have
support to import messages from other mail clients. Not sure if that's for
emails only or it actually imports news messages too -- it seems that news
posts are entirely different species which OE doesn't really like.
